Frugal find: Laundry Soap

Found at Hughes News:

1 Bar of soap (I used Dove - the good smelling one)
1 cup washing soda
1/2 cup borax
5 gallons of water
A really big container to mix it all in (I used an empty rubbermaid bin)

1. Grate the bar of soap
2. Melt the soap in 4 cups of water~keep stirring until melted
3. Fill 5 gallon bucket half full with hot water
4. Add melted mixture, soda, and borax
5. Fill to the top with more hot water
6. Stir~let sit for 24 hours then stir again
It will take 3 or 4 days to thicken, but you can use after 24 hours.


(You can buy all the ingredients at Wal-mart or Superstore in the laundry isle.)
